16 Epic Things to Do Before I Die: My Ultimate Bucket List

Welcome to my ultimate bucket list—a curated collection of 16 unforgettable bucket list experiences I’m determined to accomplish before I die. This isn’t just a list of goals; it’s a roadmap to living a life full of adventure, self-discovery, and transformation. Each item is a stepping stone that will enrich my personality, push my boundaries, and help me embrace life to the fullest.
Why a Bucket List Matters
Having a bucket list is more than just setting goals—it’s about challenging yourself to grow and evolve. This list serves as a constant reminder to step outside my comfort zone, embrace new cultures, and pursue passions that light up my soul. By committing to these experiences, I’m not only collecting memories but also crafting a dynamic personality marked by resilience, creativity, and a zest for life. Every adventure, every achievement, adds layers to who I am, making life richer and more meaningful.
The Bucket List
1. Japan
From my childhood, I’ve heard that Japan is 50 years ahead, and I want to experience that futuristic vibe firsthand. My favorite cartoon, Doraemon, hails from Japan, which only deepened my fascination with the country. From its groundbreaking technology to its innovative approach to skincare, Japan captivates me in every way. I’m eager to visit and immerse myself in everything that this incredible country has to offer.
I am so excited for this place that I have already made a list of what to shop in Japan. It is one of the first bucket list things I want to tick off in 2025.
2. BMW
My dad has always had a passion for cars. Growing up in an upper-middle-class family in India, we were fortunate to have a very nice car, but it was never a luxury model. It’s been my dream to surprise him with a luxury car, and BMW perfectly embodies that aspiration.
It’s a goal that’s been on my bucket list, combining my love for my dad, cars, and achieving a dream that feels both meaningful and achievable.
3. My House
I’ve never had a room of my own, and the thought of having my own house fills me with a deep sense of peace and security. I dream of a simple white home where I set the rules, a space that truly belongs to me. It’s not just about ownership—it’s about creating a sanctuary that reflects my personality, values, and creativity. A place where I can nurture my ideas, unwind in my own comfort, and celebrate life on my own terms.
One of the most important parts of my dream house is having a balcony of my own. I want a cozy space with a swing and a small garden, where I can sip my tea, watch the sunset, and cherish life’s little moments. It’s about creating a corner of peace, where I can slow down and truly enjoy the beauty of everyday life.
4. Udaipur
I love water, and the idea of visiting a city surrounded by lakes feels absolutely magical. Udaipur, with its breathtaking palaces and serene waters, is a place I’ve always wanted to experience. But this trip isn’t just about the destination—it’s about the memories I want to create with my sister.
I imagine us having our own little dress-up game, stepping out of our usual styles and embracing the charm of linen kurtis, flowy skirts, and colorful shirts. It’s a bit different from my everyday fashion, but that’s exactly the fun of it—to fully immerse myself in the beauty, culture, and elegance of Udaipur while making unforgettable memories.
5. Rishikesh
Rishikesh, known as the yoga capital of the world, promises a transformative spiritual journey. It’s a place to reconnect with inner peace, practice mindfulness, and experience the power of self-reflection through the ancient practices of yoga and meditation. The serene Ganges, the sound of temple bells, and the peaceful vibe make it the perfect destination to pause and realign with myself.
But beyond spirituality, I also want to embrace adventure! River rafting in Rishikesh is a must—riding the rapids, feeling the thrill of the water, and experiencing nature at its wildest. And of course, no trip is complete without indulging in the delicious local food, soaking in the flavors that make Rishikesh unique.
6. Northern Lights
Witnessing the ethereal dance of the auroras is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The natural spectacle of the Northern Lights will remind me of the vast beauty of our planet. This is definitely one of the top items on my bucket list, something that will leave a lasting impression of nature’s magnificence.
7. Ganga Arti
Participating in the Ganga Aarti is about embracing spiritual rituals and the collective energy of devotion. It’s an opportunity to experience the deep connection between faith, tradition, and community.
8. Taj Mahal
I visited the Taj Mahal when I was 8th standard, but even though I’ve already been there, I had to include it on this list. It’s one of those places that leaves you speechless—no words can truly capture its beauty, and its history makes it even more breathtaking. The love story behind the Taj Mahal adds a deeper meaning to its magnificence, making it more than just a monument—it’s an emotion.
One of the most fascinating things I discovered during my visit was how advanced architecture was back then. Even the washrooms of the Taj Mahal are a marvel, made entirely of mirrors. The design is so intricate that lighting just one candle creates a mesmerizing effect, as the reflections multiply through the mirrors. It’s little details like these that make the Taj Mahal not just a wonder of the world, but a masterpiece of human craftsmanship and innovation.
9. Golden Temple
I visited the Golden Temple in 2023, and it was one of the best trips of my life. We covered Shimla, Kullu, Manali, Dalhousie, Kasol, and Amritsar—each place was incredible in its own way. But out of all of them, the Golden Temple felt the most peaceful.

The moment you step inside, a deep sense of relief washes over you. Sitting by the sacred water of Amrit Sarovar for just a couple of minutes is enough to fill you with an unexplainable calmness. And of course, no visit is complete without tasting the prasad—it’s undoubtedly the best, made with pure devotion and warmth. The Golden Temple is not just a religious site; it’s an experience of serenity, humility, and spiritual connection.
10. Scuba Diving
Diving into the ocean’s depths is like stepping into another world—one filled with mystery, vibrant marine life, and breathtaking beauty. It’s an experience that teaches resilience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for nature’s wonders, most of which remain hidden beneath the surface.
I did my first scuba diving session in Bali, and it was nothing short of magical. The feeling of weightlessness, the colorful corals, and the silence of the underwater world made it an unforgettable experience. It’s something I want to do again and again, exploring new dive sites, discovering marine life, and feeling that incredible connection with the ocean every time I take the plunge.
11. Publicis Groupe & Google Office
I’ve always wanted to be part of Publicis Groupe, and now that I’m working with Performics as an SEO consultant, I’m excited to grow even further. Publicis has already provided me with amazing opportunities, but my ultimate goal is to experience working at Google.
12. Solo Trip
Traveling alone is one of the best ways to learn about oneself. A solo trip will challenge me to become more independent, resourceful, and open to new experiences, ultimately reshaping my outlook on life.
13. Arijit Singh & Diljit Dosanjh
I had the privilege of seeing Arijit Singh live in Mumbai on November 26th, 2022, and it was truly magical. His voice, the atmosphere, and the energy were unforgettable. Now, I’m excited to catch a live performance by Diljit Dosanjh. For me, it’s not just about the music; it’s about embracing the cultural vibrancy and the incredible energy of the performance. Watching Diljit live will be a celebration of my love for music and a moment that will leave a lasting impression.
14. Pandora Bracelet
A Pandora bracelet isn’t just a piece of jewelry—it’s a symbol of my journey, capturing the milestones, memories, and achievements that shape my life. I plan to collect Pandora charms from every international trip I take, adding a piece of each place to my bracelet. I’ve been to Dubai, Singapore, and Bali but didn’t get a bracelet at the time. However, in 2025, I’m planning to get a Pandora bracelet along with charms from these three countries, plus a charm from whichever new country I visit. It will be a beautiful way to remember each adventure and the experiences they bring.
15. Owning a Website
Launching my own website (theirlifestyle.com) is a declaration of independence and creativity. It’s a digital space where I can share my experiences, insights, and passions with the world, building a community of like-minded individuals.
16. Paying for Someone’s Education
Investing in someone’s future by paying for their education is one of the most fulfilling ways to give back. It reflects my belief that success is best when shared and that empowering others enriches our collective future.
Each item on this list is more than just a goal—it’s a promise to myself to live fully, explore deeply, and create a life rich with experiences. What’s on your bucket list? Let’s inspire each other to chase our wildest dreams and savor every moment.
You’re just amazing!
